European Solomon’s Seal is a shade-tolerant perennial plant native to woodland habitats across Europe and parts of Asia. It grows best in cool temperate climates and prefers moist, well-drained soils rich in organic matter. The plant produces elegant arching stems with alternating leaves and small tubular flowers along the underside of the stems. It spreads slowly through underground rhizomes and is well suited for shaded garden beds and naturalized woodland planting areas.
